Job Title: EXIM Manager
Location: Mumbai
Department: Supply Chain / Commercial
Role Purpose
To manage end-to-end export-import operations, ensure regulatory compliance, optimize logistics costs, and enable smooth international trade transactions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Export-Import Operations
- Handle complete documentation for exports & imports (Invoice, Packing List, BL/AWB, COO, LC documents, etc.)
- Coordinate with CHA, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and transporters
- Ensure timely dispatch and clearance of shipments
2. Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with DGFT, Customs, FEMA, GST, and RBI regulations
- Manage IEC, RCMC, LUT filings, and other statutory requirements
- Stay updated with EXIM policies and trade regulations
3. Logistics & Cost Optimization
- Negotiate freight rates and contracts with logistics partners
- Monitor shipment timelines and reduce lead time
- Optimize logistics cost without compromising service
4. Banking & Documentation
- Handle Letter of Credit (LC), Bank Guarantees, and export incentives
- Liaise with banks for document negotiation and compliance
- Manage export benefits like RoDTEP, Duty Drawback, etc.
5. Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination
- Work closely with internal teams (Sales, Production, Finance)
- Manage relationships with CHA, transporters, and international clients
- Resolve shipment-related issues proactively
6. MIS & Reporting
- Maintain shipment records and documentation
- Prepare reports on export/import performance, cost, and timelines
- Ensure audit readiness for all EXIM transactions
Key Requirements
Qualification
Graduate / Postgraduate
Experience
- 812 years of experience in EXIM operations
- Preferably from manufacturing / textile / engineering industry
Skills
- Strong knowledge of EXIM documentation & compliance
- Hands-on experience with customs clearance & DGFT procedures
- Good negotiation and vendor management skills
- Strong coordination and problem-solving ability
