About the Role
The Import & Accounts Executive will be responsible for managing end-to-end import operations while handling accounting, billing, and financial records related to imports and general accounts. The role requires coordination with vendors, freight forwarders, customs authorities, and internal finance teams to ensure timely clearance and accurate financial reporting.
Responsibilities
Import Operations
- Handle end-to-end import documentation (Invoice, Packing List, BL/AWB, COO, Insurance, etc.)
- Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and shipping lines
- Track shipments and ensure timely customs clearance
- Ensure compliance with import regulations, duties, and GST
- Maintain import records and files for audits and compliance
Accounts & Finance
- Record import-related expenses, duties, and vendor invoices
- Prepare and verify supplier invoices and payment entries
- Reconcile freight, customs duty, and clearing agent bills
- Maintain accounts payable and receivable records
- Assist in GST filings, input credit reconciliation, and statutory compliance
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing
