Job Title: Data Engineer(Informatica)
Location: Chennai
Experience: 2-4 years
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter.
- Design, implement, and maintain data integration workflows, mappings, and sessions based on business requirements.
- Collaborate with data analysts and business stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into technical specifications.
- Monitor and troubleshoot ETL processes to ensure data integrity and optimal performance.
- Document technical specifications and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
Skills and Qualifications
Primary Skills:
- Informatica PowerCenter 10.x
- Oracle SQL / PL/SQL
- Unix/Linux
- Data Warehousing concepts
ETL Development & Enhancements:
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL mappings, workflows, and sessions using Informatica PowerCenter 10.x.
- Analyze business requirements and convert them into efficient ETL solutions.
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support UAT for ETL processes.
Data Management & Database Skills:
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and PL/SQL code in Oracle.
- Conduct data profiling, validation, and analysis to ensure accuracy and consistency across source and target systems.
Unix/Linux & Automation:
- Develop and enhance Unix shell scripts for ETL job automation, file movement, parameterization, and environment support.
- Monitor, schedule, and troubleshoot ETL batch jobs using scheduling tools.
ETL Performance & Best Practices:
- Optimize ETL mappings, workflows, and SQL queries for high performance.
- Implement ETL best practices, coding standards, error handling, and audit/control frameworks.
- Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance with security standards.
Added Advantage:
- Experience with Informatica Cloud (IICS / IDMC) developing cloud mappings, tasks, and connections.
