Job Role: Senior QA Engineer

We are looking for a technically sound Senior QA Engineer who has a strong understanding of APIs, caching mechanisms, Redis, and the internal workings of databases and backend systems. At Nutrabay, QA is not just about testing UI it's about understanding how the entire tech stack functions and ensuring every layer is validated with precision and ownership. This role is ideal for someone who loves digging into system flows, uncovering edge cases, and ensuring that everything works under real-world conditions not just ideal ones.

You should apply if you have:

36 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Software Testing, preferably in backend-heavy platforms or e-commerce.

Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON structures, and real-world API debugging (using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools).

Hands-on experience with Redis, MySQL/MongoDB, and caching strategies.

Ability to read and understand backend logs, server responses, and database-level impacts.

Comfort with manual test case writing focused on edge-case coverage, data flow, and backend consistency.

Good understanding of how web applications work behind the scenes including load balancing, session management, data caching, and DB queries.

Ability to own the quality strategy for complex modules such as order processing, payment integrations, coupon logic, and warehouse flows.

Are primarily focused only on UI testing and lack understanding of backend systems.

Avoid interacting with developers or product teams to gain deep context.

Are uncomfortable working independently on large modules or debugging issues across tech layers.

Skills Required:

API Testing and understanding API response structures and request flows

Redis: understanding key-value patterns, caching expiration, pub/sub usage

Database Knowledge: MySQL or MongoDB (data integrity, query validation, indexing)

Caching Strategies: server-side cache, CDN behavior, client caching

Ability to work with backend logs, request tracing, and system-level debugging

Exposure to e-commerce workflows (orders, cart, checkout, coupon logic)

Familiarity with JIRA, test case management tools, and release processes

What will you do

Work closely with the product and tech teams to understand technical architecture and flows.

Write detailed test cases and scenarios covering all edge cases, backend impact, and system-level validation.

Validate API workflows, error handling, response times, and integration behavior across modules.

Monitor and validate data consistency in Redis, DB, and API layers.

Perform backend sanity checks during deployments and ensure critical paths are unaffected.

Ensure data caching and session-based flows behave as expected in staging and production.

Own QA for core modules like checkout, inventory, coupons, logistics, and order processing.

Coordinate UAT with stakeholders and ensure production readiness with confidence.

Work Experience: 3 to 6 years of experience in QA or backend testing roles.

Working Days: Monday to Friday
