IBM Sterling OMS Consultant

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into Sterling OMS configurations and customizations.
• Design and implement solutions using IBM Sterling OMS (9.x or 10.x).
• Configure order capture, sourcing, fulfillment, payment processing, and reverse logistics workflows.
• Develop custom extensions and services using Java/J2EE, APIs, and integration frameworks.
• Integrate Sterling OMS with external systems like ERP, CRM, WMS, and eCommerce platforms.
• Create technical documentation including solution designs, architecture diagrams, and deployment guides.
• Conduct unit, integration, and performance testing for developed modules.
• Support go-live activities, troubleshoot production issues, and provide post-deployment support.
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and client stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications & Skills:

Essential:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with IBM Sterling OMS.
• Strong development experience in Java/J2EE and related frameworks.
• Experience with XML, XSLT, JSON, and web services (REST/SOAP).
• Familiarity with order lifecycle management and fulfillment processes.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Desirable:

• Experience integrating OMS with platforms like Salesforce, SAP, Oracle, or Magento.
• Knowledge of retail, e-commerce, or supply chain domain.
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD tools, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• IBM Sterling OMS Certification (if available).
