Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (B2BI) professional to handle installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and deployment on OpenShift containers and any cloud platform. The role focuses on ensuring robust EDI/B2B integration solutions for enterprise environments, including performance tuning and partner onboarding. This position requires hands-on expertise in containerized deployments and cloud-native architectures.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and configure IBM Sterling B2B Integrator, including certified containers on OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) and Kubernetes clusters integrated with IBM Cloud Private or other clouds.
- Perform upgrades, patches, hotfixes, and environment builds, ensuring prerequisites like persistent volumes, secrets, and Helm charts are met for successful deployments.
- Troubleshoot deployment issues, connectivity problems, performance bottlenecks, and core product errors using tools for monitoring pods, statefulsets, and logs in containerized setups.
- Manage cloud infrastructure provisioning, CI/CD pipelines with Docker/Jenkins, and automation scripting for Linux/UNIX environments to support B2BI scalability.
- Onboard trading partners, handle EDI standards (X12, XML), protocols (AS2, SFTP, HTTPS), certificates, and maps while resolving data/communication failures.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with IBM Sterling B2BI installation, configuration, and administration in production environments.
- Proven expertise in OpenShift/Kubernetes deployments, including Helm catalog pushes, YAML resource creation, and parameter tuning for replicas/memory.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for application performance, queue management, load balancing, and cloud-specific issues (e.g., AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud).
- Proficiency in Linux shell scripting, EDI mapping, BP design, and protocols; familiarity with related tools like Sterling File Gateway (SFG) or Secure Proxy (SSP) is a plus.
