Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide advisory support to define and present a strategic execution plan for API capabilities across the organization.
- Recommend solutions to address challenges in access, visibility, security, and collaboration for REST, GraphQL, and Event APIs.
- Advise on capability enhancements to improve user experience, observability, and governance across multiple API types.
- Develop an externalization strategy for cross-functional collaboration, change management, and measurable outcomes.
- Present a solution architecture for a unified external service consumer portal, integrating multiple API types and platforms.
- Leverage market experience and best practices to demonstrate how other organizations have successfully addressed similar API challenges.
- Stay updated on emerging API technologies and trends to provide informed recommendations for adoption and improvement.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- Strong experience with API management platforms, including IBM API Connect, Azure API Management, and MuleSoft.
- Knowledge of event-driven architectures using Confluent Kafka, Azure Event Hub, Event Grid, or IBM MQ.
- Experience in RESTful, GraphQL, and event-based API design and governance.
- Expertise in designing external service consumer portals and API externalization strategies.
- Understanding of security, access control, and observability best practices for APIs.
- Proven track record of advisory or consulting roles in large-scale API implementations.
