About the role:

Supporting the school leadership in achieving the vision, mission,values and aims of the school. Developing clear personal and professional goals that are consistent with school wide action plans and IBDP, requirements; nurturing and promoting a culture of learning and by creating a strongly interactive, enjoyable and stimulating learning environment; committing to an on ‐going programme of personal and professional growth, both formally and informally.

Job Responsibilities:

• Putting into practice the School's learning and teaching strategy.
• Employing a wide variety of learning and teaching tools to make learning both effective and enjoyable.
• Ensuring curriculum documentation is recorded including course outlines or unit of inquiry/unit of work planners.
• Ensuring the appropriate IB curriculum is delivered to the highest possible standards.
• Seeking opportunities to develop cross‐curricular approaches specifically in reference to Theory of Knowledge (DP), Global Contexts –Units of Work (MYP) and Units of Inquiry (PYP).
• Maximizing learning opportunities both within and outside the classroom through fieldtrips, visiting speakers, varied teaching styles and resources.
• Keeping abreast of current world wide and IBO educational practice through reading and research.
• All MYP & DP documentations should match the IB and school/programme standards.
• No copy/duplications/collusion/plagiarism/academic misconduct should be practiced or encouraged while producing/accepting any academic related documentation.
• Must foster in their students a strong sense of Intercultural Awareness by developing creative, applicable lessons that integrate the study of real-world issues and allows students to understand multiple perspectives.
• Prepare and provide documentation of student progress to the parents as assessed with the IB Criteria, in addition to providing documentation as assessed by the county grading system.
• Attend ongoing IB trainings and workshops in order to continue the development of the program and deepen their understanding of the MYP & DP, and thus increase their effectiveness of their delivery of the program.
• Develops alternative forms of assessment which allow the students the opportunity to achieve based on the IB Assessment Criteria.

Education Qualification & Experience:

• A minimum of an undergraduate degree in the area of expertise required, and preferably a Masters Degree.
• Previous IB teaching experience and strong knowledge in the area of specializations at the required levels of study.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of teaching experience in middle & high school segment.
• Experience in teaching IB Curriculum will be given preference.
• Curriculum development knowledge
