Job Title: IB PYP & MYP ESL Teacher (English as a Second Language)

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and student-centered IB PYP & MYP ESL Teacher to support multilingual learners in developing English language proficiency across listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with classroom and subject teachers to ensure students can access the IB curriculum while fostering international-mindedness, inquiry-based learning, and intercultural understanding.
The teacher will provide differentiated English language support to students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds and contribute actively to the school's IB learning community.
Role & Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and assess English as a Second Language (ESL/EAL) instruction for students in the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP).
- Develop students proficiency in speaking, listening, reading, writing, vocabulary, and academic language.
- Design engaging, inquiry-based, and differentiated learning experiences aligned with IB philosophy and practices.
- Design and implement formative and summative assessments; track student progress and use data to drive instructional adjustments.
- Collaborate with grade-level teams, subject specialists, and parents to create integrated units and personalised learning pathways.
- Embed inquiry-based learning, ATL skills, and cultural responsiveness into unit planning and daily lessons.
- Maintain accurate records, provide timely feedback, and participate in professional development and school-wide events.
Skills & Qualifications Must-Have (Skills)
- Bachelor's/ Master's Degree in English, Education, Linguistics, TESOL, ELT, or a related field.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification.
- TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, DELTA, ESL, or EAL certification.
- Valid teaching certification or licence appropriate to classroom teaching
- Proven classroom experience teaching IB PYP and/or IB MYP or equivalent international curriculum
Preferred (Skills)
- Google Classroom or similar LMS
- Bilingual instruction (Hindi)
- Strong oral and written English proficiency
Qualifications (Preferred)
- IB workshop certificates (PYP and/or MYP)
- Experience in a non-residential/day-school setting and working with diverse learner profiles
