Role Summary:
The IB Individuals & Societies (I&S) Teacher facilitates engaging, interdisciplinary learning across humanities and social sciences in alignment with the International Baccalaureate (IB) philosophy and standards. The role focuses on developing globally minded learners with strong critical thinking and inquiry skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach IB Individuals & Societies subjects such as History, Geography, Economics, and related disciplines
- Plan and deliver inquiry-based, concept-driven lessons aligned with the IB framework
- Design and implement assessments in accordance with IB criteria and standards
- Guide students in internal assessments, projects, and research work
- Encourage critical thinking, analytical skills, and global awareness
- Integrate Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills and promote international-mindedness
- Participate in IB professional development, training, and moderation processes
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date academic records and documentation
Requirements:
Qualifications & Skills:
- Master's degree in Humanities, Social Sciences, or a related field
- IB training or prior IB teaching experience preferred
- Strong research, assessment, and student facilitation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
