We are seeking an experienced and passionate educator to teach students under the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) and the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in their subject area, a learner-centred teaching philosophy, and a commitment to fostering global-mindedness, inquiry, and critical thinking in students.
Location: Sector 70A, Gurgaon and DLF Phase 1, Gurgaon
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching and Learning
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging lessons aligned with the IBDP and IGCSE curriculum frameworks.
- Design learning experiences that develop conceptual understanding, analytical skills, and intercultural awareness.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs, abilities, and interests of students.
- Incorporate IB Learner Profile attributes and Cambridge learner values into daily teaching practice.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance student learning and engagement.
- Prepare students for internal assessments, examinations, and coursework according to IBDP/IGCSE requirements.
Assessment and Feedback
- Design and administer formative and summative assessments in accordance with IBDP and IGCSE standards.
- Provide timely, constructive, and personalized feedback to students.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.
- Contribute to the moderation and standardization of assessments to ensure consistency and fairness.
Professional Responsibilities
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments and programmes (MYP/IBDP/IGCSE) to ensure curriculum coherence and progression.
- Attend subject group meetings, professional development workshops, and IB/IGCSE training as required.
- Stay up-to-date with educational research, assessment changes, and best practices in international education.
- Contribute to curriculum review, resource development, and strategic planning.
- Participate in school events, assemblies, parent-teacher conferences, and co-curricular activities.
- Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom and school culture.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or in a relevant subject area (Master's preferred).
- Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., B.Ed., PGCE, or equivalent).
- Minimum 23 years of experience teaching IBDP and/or IGCSE (experience with both preferred).
- Strong understanding of IB philosophy, inquiry-based learning, and international-mindedness.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
- Technologically proficient; experience with online learning platforms is an advantage.
- IB training (Category 1, 2, or 3 workshops).
