Job Title: IBDP (Physics / Chemistry / Biology)

Job Summary
Kunskapsskolan School is seeking a qualified and passionate IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) Teacher to teach Physics, Chemistry, or Biology at the Diploma level. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality inquiry-based instruction aligned with the IB philosophy, foster critical thinking, and support students in achieving academic excellence and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning
- Teach IBDP Physics, Chemistry, or Biology at Standard Level (SL) and/or Higher Level (HL).
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the IB Diploma Programme curriculum and assessment criteria.
- Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse learner needs.
- Design and assess internal assessments (IA) in accordance with IB guidelines.
- Prepare students for external IB examinations.
Student Support
- Monitor and track student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Support students academic and personal development through mentoring and advisory roles.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding progress and concerns.
IB & School Responsibilities
- Actively contribute to theIB philosophy, including Approaches to Teaching and Learning (ATL) and learner profile attributes.
- Participate in curriculum planning, department meetings, and school events.
- Engage in IB professional development and stay current with subject-specific updates.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
- Teaching qualification/certification (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent).
- Experience teaching IBDP Physics, Chemistry, or Biology.
- IB training and workshops in the relevant subject.
- Experience teaching both SL and HL.
- Experience with international or multicultural school environments.
