Experience: 1215 years experience in Mechanical & HVAC Operations and Maintenance

Profile Summary:

Expert in maintenance of mechanical systems with familiarity in electrical systems. Specialist in mechanical and cooling systems for large-scale critical facilities.

Qualification:

• BE/B.Tech in Mechanical with minimum 12 years experience
• Diploma in Mechanical with more than 15 years experience

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Initiatives

• Highly resourceful in maintaining and preparing Facility Site Standard Procedures and documentation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Project, Construction & Engineering teams.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive Operations & Maintenance plan for the site.
• Capacity planning through regular monitoring of Data Center load and capacity.
• Contribute to CAMC contracts and Scope of Work finalization.
• Support system upgradation and performance improvement initiatives.
• Strong capability in managing outsourced manpower and vendors.

2. Operations Excellence

• Manage HVAC infrastructure of mission-critical Data Centre facilities.
• Maintain HVAC SLA performance at the highest standards.
• Experience with Project HOTO procedures for mechanical systems.
• Lead and manage DC facilities ensuring 100% uptime of HVAC systems.
• Establish performance benchmarks, perform analysis, and identify improvement areas.
• Respond effectively to emergency situations.
• Strong understanding of HSE, OSHA, ASHRAE, TIA-942 guidelines related to hyperscale data centers.
• Skilled in reading construction drawings (mechanical, electrical, plumbing).
• Ability to understand complex technical operations and communicate solutions across levels.
• Capable of handling multiple tasks with conflicting priorities and driving them to closure.

3. Customer / Stakeholder Management

• Maintain transparent and timely communication with management about site operations.
• Handle customer visits and customer queries efficiently.
• Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors.

Technical Experience

Organizational Leadership

• Contribute to short and long-term operations planning and strategy.
• Focused on HVAC efficiency and maintaining optimum PUE levels.

Risk Management

• Act as the primary contact for statutory, regulatory, and technical issues related to mechanical systems and documentation.

Availability Management

• Ensure 247365 uptime for Data Center infrastructure with maintained system redundancy.

Maintenance Management

• Propose and implement energy and cooling optimization initiatives.
• Prepare and execute maintenance schedules for all utility infrastructure.

Contracts Management

• Manage vendor relations.
• Participate in vendor/sub-vendor development, selection, and evaluation.
• Review AMC & SLA terms for mechanical equipment.
• Coordinate with manpower-sharing agencies for maintenance-related activities.

Monitoring, Operation & Maintenance of Utilities

• HVAC Systems:
• PAHU, Air Cooled/Water Cooled Centrifugal/Screw Chillers, Pumps, Cooling Towers, Piping & Valves, Exhaust Fans, Fresh Air Fans, AHUs, Chemical Filters, Water Mist Systems, Cranes, etc.
• Emergency Diesel Generators:
• Range: 160 KVA to 3000 KVA
• Automation & Auxiliary Systems:
• BMS, Water Leak Detection, VESDA, Rodent Repellent, Fire Detection & Suppression Systems, CCTV, Access Control, Electrical Systems, Lifts

General Responsibilities

• Conduct root cause analysis for Mechanical/HVAC failures.
• Prepare MIS and HVAC-related reports.
• Manage day-to-day operations and onsite activities.
• Prepare shift schedules and preventive maintenance plans.
• Perform testing and troubleshooting of handled equipment.
• Handle mechanical system shutdowns without service interruption.
• Provide support during internal and external audits.
• Experience in Data Center Operations Management and HVAC Engineering.

Other Requirements

• Familiarity with OSS, SAP PM & MM Modules.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
