HR Specialist - SaaS Hiring & People Operations
Location: Chennai Experience: 2–5 years Team: HR & People Operations Reports to: Head of Operations
Job Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end hiring across all teams and functions at Roanuz
- Build sourcing strategies for hard-to-find roles, engineers, product managers, developer advocates, growth marketers, Designers, SDRs with SaaS exposure.
- Write compelling, role-specific JDs that resonate with SaaS and developer audiences.
- Run structured interview processes, coordinate panels, manage candidate experience, and close offers.
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline through LinkedIn, communities, referrals, and hiring channels.
- Track hiring progress and share regular updates with the team
- Partner with hiring managers to define role scopes, scorecards, and compensation benchmarks aligned to the SaaS market.
- Drive onboarding and ensure new hires have smooth, structured initial days.
- Own employee lifecycle operations, offer letters, contracts, confirmations, and exits.
- Maintain employee records, leave and attendance systems, and policy documentation.
- Support performance review cycles, goal setting, and feedback culture.
- Run employee engagement initiatives, celebrations, recognition programs, internal communication, and culture-building activities.
- Be the first point of contact for employee queries on policies, benefits, and workplace concerns.
What We're Looking For
- 2–5 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in talent acquisition for SaaS, product, or tech-first companies.
- Demonstrated experience hiring for technical roles, backend/full-stack engineers, product managers, designers, etc.
- Strong understanding of the SaaS talent market in India (and ideally global remote talent).
- Excellent written and verbal communication, you'll be representing Roanuz to candidates.
- Comfort with HR tools, ATS platforms, HRMS systems, and basic analytics.
- A generalist mindset, you're comfortable owning hiring while also running onboarding, engagement, and policy work.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to juggle multiple roles and priorities.
Nice to Have
- Experience hiring for developer-focused or product-led companies.
- Familiarity with employer branding, careers page content, LinkedIn presence, candidate communication.
- Prior experience in a startup or scaling team where you wore multiple hats.
