The company has recently transitioned its Products & Healthcare Services business to Platinum Equity, continuing as a leading provider in healthcare supply and distribution.

Job Position Purpose / Summary

Position Summary

  • Owens & Minor is looking for a detail-oriented and employee-focused Human Resources Specialist to join our team in Pune.
  • The ideal candidate should have 6–7 years of hands-on experience in HR Operations and HR Generalist functions within IT, technology, manufacturing, healthcare, or multinational organizations.
  • This role requires strong operational expertise, excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to deliver a seamless employee experience while supporting managers and employees across the employee lifecycle.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for driving HR operations, employee relations, HR reporting and HR process excellence, while partnering with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced and matrix environment.

Key Responsibilities

HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle Management

  • Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, employee movements, transfers, promotions and exit management.
  • Ensure accurate and timely execution of HR transactions and maintain high standards of HR operational excellence.
  • Support employees and managers on HR policies, processes and system-related queries.
  • Drive initiatives that enhance employee experience and process efficiency.

Employee Relations & HR Generalist Support

  • Handle employee relations matters with professionalism, confidentiality and sound judgment.
  • Partner with managers to address employee concerns and provide guidance on HR policies and practices.
  • Support employee engagement and retention initiatives across the organization.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment through effective people practices.

HR Systems, Reporting & Analytics

  • Maintain HR dashboards, reports and analytics with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Leverage advanced Excel skills to analyze workforce trends and generate actionable insights.
  • Work extensively on HR systems, including Workday, for employee data management, reporting and HR operations support.
  • Track and analyze key HR metrics such as attrition, headcount and employee movements.

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Compensation & Benefits, Learning & Development and HR Operations teams to ensure seamless HR service delivery.
  • Build effective working relationships with business leaders, managers and global stakeholders across geographies.
  • Support HR projects and process improvement initiatives as required.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Experience: 6–7 years of experience in HR Operations and HR Generalist roles, preferably within IT, technology, healthcare, manufacturing, or multinational organizations.
  • Strong hands-on experience managing HR operations and employee lifecycle processes.
  • Proficiency in Workday, HR reporting, dashboard management and advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Experience working with global stakeholders and within matrix organizations will be an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Sound understanding of HR policies, employee relations and HR best practices.

Qualifications / Education / Experience / Skills Required

Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • MBA/PGDM in Human Resources preferred.
  • Additional certifications in HR Analytics, Workday/HRIS, Employee Relations, or HR Operations will be an added advantage.
