Role Description

This is a part-time remote role for a Human Resources Payroll Consultant. The consultant will be responsible for overseeing payroll administration and payroll services, ensuring accurate and timely payment processing. They will manage employee benefit programs, analyze payroll data, ensure compliance with regulations, support HR operations, and improve payroll processes. Effective communication with cross-functional teams and delivering advisory on payroll policies will be a key part of this role.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in HR operations, payroll processing, and statutory compliance management
  • Strong knowledge of Indian labour laws, including PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, Shops & Establishment, and basic employment compliance
  • Experience drafting and managing employment contracts, offer letters, NDAs, IP agreements, and HR policies
  • Familiarity with payroll systems and ability to manage monthly salary processing, TDS coordination, and statutory filings
  • Ability to coordinate with CA, legal advisors, and management for regulatory and compliance matters
  • Experience handling documentation related to MCA/ROC filings (basic understanding preferred)
  • Strong documentation, record-keeping, and audit-readiness skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive employee data responsibly
  • Proficiency in MS Office, payroll software, and HR documentation tools
  • Ability to work independently in a remote/retainer setup with structured reporting
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Commerce, or related field
  • Prior experience working with startups, SaaS, or technology companies is preferred
