Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and strategic HR Manager / Head of HR to build, lead, and scale the complete people function for a rapidly growing US-focused KPO/BPO organization.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing HR operations for 500+ employees in a high-growth, process-driven environment. The role requires a hands-on HR leader who can build scalable people systems, strengthen organizational culture, improve employee retention, and partner closely with business leadership to support rapid growth.
The successful candidate should be capable of building HR systems and processes from the ground up, while ensuring operational excellence across the complete employee lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
HR Strategy & Leadership
- Lead and manage the complete HR function across the organization.
- Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business growth and organizational objectives.
- Partner with senior management and business leaders on people-related decisions.
- Establish scalable HR frameworks, policies, processes, and governance systems.
- Build an HR function capable of supporting rapid workforce expansion.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment and talent acquisition activities.
- Develop workforce planning and manpower forecasting mechanisms.
- Work with business leaders to understand current and future hiring requirements.
- Establish recruitment processes, hiring SLAs, and workforce productivity metrics.
- Build talent pipelines to support business growth and new client requirements.
- Monitor hiring effectiveness, time-to-hire, quality of hire, and recruitment costs.
Employee Lifecycle & HR Operations
- Oversee the complete employee lifecycle from joining to separation.
- Develop standardized HR processes and SOPs across employee-related activities.
- Ensure effective onboarding, documentation, employee records, transfers, promotions, and exits.
- Establish strong HR service delivery standards and operational controls.
- Ensure HR systems and processes remain scalable as the organization grows.
Employee Engagement, Culture & Retention
- Develop and implement employee engagement and retention strategies.
- Build a positive, performance-oriented, and inclusive workplace culture.
- Conduct engagement initiatives, employee feedback programs, surveys, and recognition activities.
- Identify key drivers of employee satisfaction and attrition.
- Develop targeted interventions to improve retention and employee experience.
- Strengthen communication between employees, HR, and leadership.
Performance Management & Organizational Development
- Design and manage performance appraisal and review systems.
- Establish effective KPI, KRA, goal-setting, and performance management frameworks.
- Partner with business leaders to improve employee productivity and performance.
- Identify high-potential employees and develop career progression frameworks.
- Support organizational development, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives.
Compensation, Incentives & Recognition
- Develop and manage compensation structures aligned with market benchmarks.
- Design and administer incentive and variable-pay frameworks.
- Develop employee recognition and reward programs.
- Conduct compensation reviews and support salary benchmarking.
- Ensure compensation practices are consistent, transparent, and aligned with business objectives.
Employee Relations & Grievance Management
- Manage employee relations and workplace concerns effectively.
- Establish structured grievance-handling and resolution processes.
- Handle disciplinary matters in accordance with company policies and applicable employment requirements.
- Support managers in addressing employee performance and behavioral issues.
- Maintain a fair, professional, and transparent employee relations environment.
HR Compliance & Governance
- Develop and maintain HR policies, SOPs, manuals, and governance frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and statutory requirements.
- Establish appropriate HR controls, documentation, and audit processes.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
- Monitor changes in employment regulations and ensure necessary policy updates.
HR Analytics & Reporting
- Establish and monitor key HR metrics and dashboards.
- Track attrition, hiring, absenteeism, productivity, employee engagement, retention, and workforce costs.
- Provide actionable HR insights and reports to senior management.
- Analyse workforce trends and recommend appropriate interventions.
- Use data and analytics to support people-related business decisions.
Business Partnering & Organizational Growth
- Act as a strategic HR partner to business leaders and functional heads.
- Support organizational restructuring, expansion, and new business initiatives.
- Provide HR guidance during new client onboarding and workforce ramp-ups.
- Develop people strategies aligned with business growth plans.
- Support leadership in building a high-performance and scalable organization.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with significant leadership responsibility.
- Proven experience managing HR for 500+ employees.
- Strong experience in KPO, BPO, ITES, GCC, shared services, or other process-driven organizations is highly preferred.
- Experience supporting international operations or clients, particularly in the USA, UK, Canada, or Australia.
- Strong understanding of HR operations, employee engagement, retention, performance management, and workforce planning.
- Experience designing and implementing HR policies, SOPs, systems, and processes.
- Strong understanding of HR analytics, workforce metrics, and reporting.
- Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work closely with senior management and business leadership.
