Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Payroll Manager to lead end-to-end payroll operations while ensuring statutory compliance, managing industrial relations, and handling large blue-collar workforce environments. This role requires strong expertise in labor laws, union management, and workforce mobilization, with the ability to maintain operational continuity in a dynamic and high-volume setup.
Key Responsibilities
1. Payroll Management
- Lead and manage end-to-end payroll processing for large employee base (including blue-collar workforce).
- Ensure timely and accurate salary disbursement, statutory deductions, reimbursements, and final settlements.
- Oversee payroll audits, reconciliations, and compliance checks.
- Drive payroll automation and process improvements.
2. Compliance Management
- Ensure 100% compliance with statutory regulations including PF, ESIC, Bonus, Gratuity, PT, LWF, CLRA, Factory Act, etc.
- Liaise with government authorities, auditors, and external consultants.
- Maintain statutory registers, filings, and documentation as per labor laws.
- Manage compliance for contract labor and vendor workforce.
3. Industrial Relations (IR) & Union Management
- Handle union negotiations, settlements, and dispute resolution.
- Manage long-term IR strategy to ensure harmonious industrial relations.
- Address employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict situations.
- Lead collective bargaining agreements and wage settlements.
4. Blue-Collar Workforce Management
- Oversee HR operations for large blue-collar workforce across multiple locations.
- Ensure workforce productivity, attendance management, and shift planning.
- Implement policies and practices to improve engagement and reduce attrition.
- Manage contract labor deployment and vendor relationships.
5. Resource Mobilization & Workforce Planning
- Plan and execute manpower mobilization for operations (ramp-ups, seasonal demand, new sites).
- Collaborate with operations teams to ensure timely workforce availability.
- Optimize manpower utilization and cost efficiency.
6. Risk & Crisis Management
- Handle labor disputes, strikes, and crisis situations with minimal business disruption.
- Ensure legal compliance and mitigate risks related to labor laws and workforce management.
- Develop contingency plans for workforce continuity.

Educational Qualifications
- MBA/PGDM in HR / IR / Labour Laws
- Certifications in Labour Laws / Compliance (preferred)
