Designation: HR - Manager

CTC: Up to 12 LPA

Annual Retention Bonus 10%. This is part of your CTC and released after you complete a year with us (Subject of course to you being on our payroll and not serving a notice period.)

City: Mumbai

Mode: In-office, 5 days a week.

As an HR Manager at Scatter, your day will typically involve balancing strategic hiring with people management. You will report directly to the CEO and work closely with the Founding Team to help plan team capacity, support managers on performance and people matters, and ensure a strong, engaged workplace culture.

We're looking for someone who understands how agencies function, and can build clarity, nurture culture, and support teams as we evolve.

Recruitment & Workforce Planning

  • Drive hiring strategy aligned with business growth and forecasting for team structures.
  • Understand agency departments (Customer Success, SEO, Content, Creative, Strategy etc) and proactively plan talent needs.
  • Source, identify, screen, and hire candidates across functions.
  • Leverage platforms like LinkedIn and relevant professional networks to attract high-quality talent.
  • Oversee structured, end-to-end hiring processes to ensure speed, quality, and strong candidate experience.
  • Maintain recruitment trackers, candidate databases, and structured interview documentation.

Employee Relations & Culture

  • Act as a trusted point of contact for employee concerns and conflict resolution.
  • Conduct engagement and satisfaction surveys; analyze trends and implement actionable improvements.
  • Support managers in handling performance and behavioural conversations effectively.

Performance Management

  • Manage structured performance appraisal cycles.
  • Guide managers on conducting meaningful 1:1 performance conversations.
  • Identify performance gaps and implement structured improvement plans.

Compensation & Payroll

  • Assist leadership in structuring competitive compensation aligned with market benchmarks.
  • Support loyalty bonuses, and performance-linked structures where applicable.
  • Coordinate with finance to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.

Benefits Administration

  • Manage employee benefit programs including health insurance and related offerings.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and communicate benefit updates clearly.

Compliance & Governance

  • Stay updated on labour laws and ensure all HR practices are compliant.
  • Maintain HR policies aligned with business growth and agency best practices.
  • Handle employment-related documentation and regulatory matters.

Training & Development

  • Identify skill gaps across teams and implement structured learning programs.
  • Support leadership development for mid-level managers.
  • Build career progression frameworks within the agency structure.

HR Records & Systems

  • Maintainaccurateand confidential employee records.
  • Manage HR software systems for record-keeping and reporting.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 35 years of proven HR management experience within a digital marketing agency/creative agency only.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and compliance frameworks.
  • Proficiency in HRMS tools and ATS systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • High discretion and ability to manage confidential information.
  • Proven ability to work directly with the C-suite and leadership team.
