Job Title: HR Manager

Time Zone: EST Hours

Location: Pune

Experience: 6–10 Years

Industry: IT / ITES

Work Mode: Onsite (office)

Job Summary

We are looking for an HR Manager who is proactive and people-oriented, capable of managing the entire employee life cycle, including onboarding, performance reviews, engagement activities, and exit procedures. This position will work closely with leadership to strengthen HR frameworks, uphold statutory compliance, and nurture a healthy workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

1. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Partner with business leaders to define manpower needs and hiring strategies
  • Manage the offer process and candidate experience
  • Drive employer branding initiatives to attract top talent

2. Onboarding & Induction

  • Ensure seamless onboarding and documentation for new hires
  • Manage HRMS (GretyHr) onboarding workflows and maintain accurate employee data
  • Conduct induction and orientation programs

3. Performance Management

  • Drive the performance appraisal cycle including goal setting, reviews, and increments
  • Collaborate with managers on Performance Improvement Plans (PIP)
  • Support leadership in talent assessment and succession planning initiatives

4. Employee Engagement & Culture

  • Design and implement employee engagement programs
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns, grievances, and conflict resolution
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and transparency
  • Conduct employee satisfaction surveys and drive action planning

5. HR Policies & Process Management

  • Draft, update, and implement HR policies, SOPs, and guidelines
  • Ensure consistent communication and adherence to policies across the organization
  • Continuously improve HR processes for efficiency and scalability

6. Compensation, Payroll & Benefits

  • Coordinate payroll processing and ensure timely salary disbursements
  • Manage employee benefits including insurance, leave, and rewards
  • Support annual compensation planning and budgeting activities

7. Statutory Compliance & Labour Laws

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable labour laws and statutory requirements
  • Manage audits, inspections, and statutory filings
  • Liaise with consultants and government authorities as needed

8. Exit & Separation Management

  • Oversee the complete exit process including resignations and full & final settlements
  • Conduct exit interviews and share insights with leadership
  • Maintain and analyze attrition data to identify trends

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of end-to-end HR operations
  • Hands-on experience in HRMS platforms and payroll processes
  • Solid knowledge of Indian labour laws and statutory compliance
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently while partnering effectively with leadership
  • Proactively flexible in taking added responsibilities based on business needs.

Qualifications

  • MBA / PGDM in HR or equivalent qualification
  • 6–10 years of experience in a generalist HR role
  • Proven experience managing the full employee life cycle
