As we scale, we are looking for a hands-on HR professional to build strong people systems, improve hiring quality, and strengthen our culture.
Role SummaryWe are seeking an HR Manager / HR Generalist to own end-to-end HR operations for a 30-member performance marketing team. This role will focus on recruitment, employee engagement, HR policies, performance management, compliance, and culture-building. You will work closely with leadership to scale the team efficiently while maintaining a high-performance environment.
Key Responsibilities1. Talent Acquisition & Hiring (40%)- Own full-cycle recruitment for performance marketers, designers, analysts, and support roles
- Coordinate with hiring managers to define job requirements and hiring timelines
- Source candidates via LinkedIn, job portals, referrals, and agencies
- Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and manage interview pipelines
- Ensure strong candidate experience and timely closures
2. HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle (25%)- Manage onboarding and offboarding processes
- Maintain employee records, HRMS, attendance, and leave systems
- Draft offer letters, appointment letters, and exit documents
- Manage payroll coordination with finance/accounts team
- Handle employee queries, grievances, and policy clarifications
3. Performance Management & Learning (15%)- Implement and manage OKRs/KPIs and performance review cycles
- Support managers in goal-setting and performance feedback
- Identify training needs and coordinate upskilling programs
- Track probation reviews and confirmations
4. Culture, Engagement & Retention (10%)- Drive employee engagement initiatives and team activities
- Run pulse surveys and feedback programs
- Support leadership in building a high-performance culture
- Design recognition and rewards programs
5. Compliance & Policy (10%)- Draft, update, and implement HR policies and SOPs
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and statutory requirements
- Handle POSH compliance, disciplinary actions, and documentation
- Maintain audit-ready HR documentation
Required Skills & Qualifications- 36 years of HR experience, preferably in a startup, agency, or high-growth environment
- Strong experience in recruitment for digital, tech, or marketing roles
- Hands-on experience with HR operations and employee lifecycle management
- Knowledge of Indian labor laws and compliance (PF, ESIC, POSH, Shops & Establishment)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Google Workspace / MS Office and basic HRMS tools
Preferred Qualifications- Experience working in a digital marketing or performance marketing agency
- Experience scaling teams from 20 to 50+ employees
- Exposure to performance management systems (OKRs/KPIs)
- Certification in HR, Labor Law, or POSH (bonus)
