HR Manager – Manufacturing (Kochi / Muvatupuzha)

We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead end-to-end HR operations in a manufacturing setup. The role demands strong expertise in payroll, statutory compliance, and shop-floor workforce management. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth HR functioning while maintaining compliance with Indian labour laws and fostering strong employee relations.

Key Responsibilities
HR Operations & Administration
· Manage complete employee lifecycle (onboarding to exit)
· Maintain HR records, attendance, and documentation systems
· Implement and enforce HR policies aligned with organizational and legal standards
Payroll & Statutory Compliance
· Handle end-to-end payroll processing
· Ensure compliance with PF, ESI, PT, Gratuity, Bonus, and other statutory requirements
· Manage monthly/annual filings and returns within deadlines
· Coordinate internal and external audits related to payroll and compliance
Labor Law Compliance
· Ensure compliance with Factory Act, Shops & Establishment Act, and other applicable laws
· Liaise with labor officers, inspectors, and government authorities
· Maintain audit readiness for statutory inspections
Employee Relations
· Manage shop-floor employee relations and grievance handling
· Drive industrial harmony and conflict resolution
· Support disciplinary actions as per policies
· Implement employee engagement initiatives
Recruitment & Workforce Planning
· Manage recruitment for both shop-floor and staff positions
· Coordinate manpower planning with department heads
Performance & HR Development
· Support appraisal and performance review processes
· Facilitate training and skill development programs
Key Skills & Competencies
· Strong expertise in labour laws and statutory compliance
· Hands-on experience in payroll systems and HR operations
· Exposure to factory/shop-floor workforce management
· Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
· Ability to interact with government bodies and inspectors
Qualification
· MBA / MSW in HR or equivalent
· Additional certification in labour laws (preferred)
Preferred Profile
· Experience in mid-sized manufacturing environments
· Strong exposure to shop-floor HR operations
· Stable career progression with consistent growth
