Role Description
Merchmix is seeking a full-time Human Resources Manager to join our team in Bengaluru.
As our HR Manager with a focus on Talent Acquisition and Top Talent Retention, you will be at the heart of our growth strategy. Your role extends beyond recruitment: you'll help shape HR practices that drive performance, ensure employee wellbeing, and foster a culture of excellence, compliance, and long-term employee satisfaction. You will maintain and enhance the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating human resources policies, programs, and practices.
Key ResponsibilitiesTalent Acquisition, Retention & Employer Branding
- Develop and execute effective strategies to attract and retain top-tier talent aligned with business goals.
- Use innovative sourcing methods to engage high-potential candidates and maintain long-term talent pipelines.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes for the roles you are responsible for (other HR team members manage other roles from you), from job posting and interviewing to offer negotiations and onboarding.
- Implement initiatives to retain top performers and reduce attrition through career development, engagement programs, and recognition frameworks.
- Enhance Alkye's employer brand by promoting our culture, values, and growth opportunities.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for both immediate and future needs.
Workplace Operations, Compliance & Financial Oversight
- Ensure teams operate efficiently and are aligned with overall business success.
- Oversee and enforce adherence to employment policies across all employee levels.
- Conduct quarterly market calibration reviews to ensure our salary structure remains competitive within the local market.
- Design and deliver staff training programs focused on compliance, development, and talent retention.
- Work with external stakeholders (e.g., contractors, service providers) to ensure the business receives the agreed-upon services.
- Oversee the in-house bookkeeper to ensure all bills are paid on time and in line with service level expectations.
- Partner with leadership on organizational design, performance management, and strategic workforce planning.
Employee Wellbeing & Culture
- Promote a values-driven, high-performance culture focused on growth and inclusion.
- Proactively check in with team members who are unwell or absent to support their wellbeing and facilitate a thoughtful return-to-work plan.
- Lead initiatives that foster engagement, development, and a positive employee experience.
- Advise managers on handling employee relations matters with empathy and effectiveness.
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion across all people practices.
Requirements
- Proven HR management experience with strong capabilities in both talent acquisition and retention, ideally within the digital or tech space.
- A proactive, data-driven, and empathetic approach to supporting people and culture is essential.
- Deep understanding of modern acquisition strategies, employee engagement, compliance frameworks, and a solid financial oversight is essential.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with Recruitment software & tracking methods.
- Experience designing and delivering staff training and leadership development programs.
- Experience supporting employee wellbeing and return-to-work coordination is a plus.
