Purpose

The HR Manager at Chaizup is responsible for building a strong, motivated, and performance-driven workforce that fuels the company's growth across India. This role is crucial for finding the right talent and ensuring it is hired, nurtured, and retained, while driving a culture aligned with Chaizup's values of unity, ambition, and agility. The HR Manager acts as a strategic partner to leadership, helping to strategize methodologies and shape people strategy across recruitment, training, performance management, and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Founder-CEO, the HR Manager must bring strong operational discipline and people empathy. The initial focus is on setting up a robust HR framework to support rapid expansion. This includes:

  • Defining manpower requirements and filling critical open positions.
  • Implementing structured onboarding and induction programs.
  • Introducing standardized HR processes (attendance, performance reviews, leave policy).
  • Building engagement initiatives to boost team morale and retention.
  • Managing employee relations, conflict resolution, and grievance redressal.
  • Developing foundational training and skill development programs.
  • Advising leadership with key HR metrics and data-driven insights.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources preferred.
  • Work Experience: 2-3 years of HR experience, preferably in FMCG, retail, or high-growth startups. Must have experience in recruitment, performance management, and HR operations.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, employee relations, and conflict management skills. Familiarity with HRMS tools and data-driven HR practices.
