About the RoleAruvi Bakery & Sweets is looking for a highly experienced and strategic HR Manager to build, structure, and lead the entire HR department across our bakery operations.
This is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Tirunelveli. The selected candidate will be responsible for establishing the HR hierarchy, implementing policies and systems, handling payroll and compliance, and building a strong performance-driven culture across all branches.
This role requires someone capable of setting up structured HR systems from the ground up.
Key ResponsibilitiesHR Department Setup & Structure- Build and design the complete HR hierarchy and reporting structure
- Develop HR policies, SOPs, and compliance frameworks
- Establish attendance systems, documentation processes, and internal controls
- Implement structured manpower planning and workforce allocation
Recruitment & Workforce Management- Lead end-to-end recruitment for production, retail, and management roles
- Develop hiring pipelines for expansion and multi-branch operations
- Oversee onboarding and structured induction programs
Payroll & Compliance- Manage payroll processing and salary structuring
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, PF, ESI, and statutory regulations
- Maintain accurate and legally compliant employee records
Training & Performance Management- Design and implement structured training programs
- Establish performance appraisal systems
- Develop leadership and skill-development programs
- Drive employee engagement and retention strategies
Employee Relations- Handle grievances and disciplinary matters professionally
- Build a positive, disciplined, and high-performance work culture
Mandatory Experience & Skills- Minimum 8+ years of HR experience in the F&B industry (Compulsory)
- Bakery industry experience preferred (Strong Advantage)
- Proven experience in setting up HR systems and department structures
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and statutory compliance
- Experience managing multi-unit operations preferred
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and organizational skills
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism
