Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Human Resources Lead role based in Navi Mumbai. The Human Resources Lead will oversee end-to-end HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee engagement. The role involves designing and implementing HR policies, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and managing employee benefits and payroll coordination in partnership with relevant stakeholders. The Human Resources Lead will support managers with workforce planning, resolve employee queries, and foster an inclusive, high-performance culture aligned with ProsParity's mission. This position will also analyze HR data, prepare reports for leadership, and continuously improve HR processes and systems.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition

•           Own the full-cycle recruitment process — from workforce planning and sourcing to offer management and onboarding.

•           Partner with functional leaders to anticipate hiring needs and build proactive talent pipelines.

•           Design and implement structured interview frameworks and standardized assessment tools.

•           Build the employer brand and strengthen ProsParity's presence in relevant talent markets.

Payroll & Compliance

•           Oversee accurate and timely payroll processing, ensuring compliance with applicable statutory requirements.

•           Manage all labor law compliances across multiple states — including PF, ESIC, PT, Gratuity, Shops & Establishments Act, and other relevant regulations specific to the retail sector.

•           Maintain statutory registers, filings, and records; liaise with government authorities and external consultants as required.

•           Proactively monitor regulatory developments and ensure the organization remains fully compliant at all times.

L&D / Performance Management

•           Design and implement a performance management framework — goal-setting, mid-year reviews, and annual appraisals.

•           Identify learning and development needs across levels and build targeted training programmes.

•           Drive a culture of continuous feedback and career development.

•           Establish succession planning frameworks in alignment with business priorities.

Employee Engagement

•           Develop and execute engagement initiatives that reinforce ProsParity's values and culture.

•           Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees on HR matters, grievances, and concerns.

•           Track engagement metrics and attrition data; derive actionable insights and implement corrective measures.

•           Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion across all HR practices.

Policy & Best Practices

•           Build the HR policy framework from the ground up — drafting, documenting, and rolling out policies across the organization.

•           Benchmark Prosparity's HR practices against industry standards and continuously raise the bar.

•           Implement HR systems and digital tools that enhance operational efficiency and employee experience.

Experience & Expertise

•      8 – 10 years of progressive HR experience, with a mandatory background in the retail sector or FMCG/consumer-facing industries.

•      Demonstrable experience in managing multi-state HR compliance for a distributed workforce.

•      Proven track record of building HR infrastructure and implementing best practices in an early-stage or high-growth organization.

•      Prior experience as an individual contributor managing end-to-end HR independently is highly preferred.

Competencies

•      Strong command of Indian labor laws and statutory compliance requirements across multiple states.

•      Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

•      High bias for action — a pragmatic, solutions-oriented professional who moves with urgency and precision.

•      Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

•      Demonstrated integrity, discretion, and sound judgement in handling sensitive HR matters.

•      Experience of working in HR role at retail oriented businesses like FMCG, BFSI, etc. having operations across multiple states is a strong plus.

Qualifications

•      MBA / PGDM in Human Resources from a reputed institution.

•      Minimum 6 and Maximum 8 years of work experience in HR domain.

•      Professional certifications in HR (e.g., SHRM, HRCI) are an added advantage.
