Role Overview:
NIAD Australia is seeking a dedicated and proactive HR Manager to be based full-time at our office in Noida Sector - 135, India. This pivotal role will be responsible for providing comprehensive HR support to our employees and contractors located in both India and Australia. The HR Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth HR operations, fostering positive employee relations, and contributing to the overall success of our international team. This position requires exceptional communication skills, a strong understanding of HR best practices, and the ability to work effectively in an early morning shift to align with Australian business hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- HR Strategy and Implementation:
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that align with NIAD Australia's overall business strategy and objectives.
- Contribute to the development of HR policies and procedures that are compliant with relevant labor laws in India and Australia.
- Drive HR initiatives that foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for positions within India, including job posting, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer management.
- Ensure a seamless and positive onboarding experience for new employees in India.
- Collaborate with the Australian team on any recruitment needs for the Australian operations.
- Employee Relations and Engagement:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters for the India-based team.
- Foster a culture of open communication, trust, and mutual respect between employees and management.
- Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and morale across both the Indian and Australian teams.
- Actively engage with our contractors in Australia, maintaining strong relationships and addressing any HR-related queries or concerns.
- Performance Management and Development:
- Support the implementation of performance management processes for the India team.
- Work with managers to identify employee training and development needs and coordinate relevant programs.
- Monitor and report on performance management outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
- Compensation and Benefits:
- Manage attendance records for the India-based employees.
- Oversee the accurate calculation of salaries and ensure timely payroll processing for the India team, coordinating with relevant departments.
- Administer employee benefits programs for the India team, ensuring compliance and effective communication.
- HR Administration and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation in compliance with legal requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations in India.
- Stay informed about changes in labor laws and best practices in both India and Australia.
- International Employee Management:
- Act as a key point of contact for our approximately 50 contractors based in Australia, building and maintaining strong professional relationships.
- Address HR-related queries and provide support to our Australian contractors in a timely and effective manner.
- Develop and implement strategies to foster a sense of connection and engagement among our international workforce.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field. A Master's degree in HR is preferred.
- Proven experience (minimum of 3-5 years) as an HR Manager or in a similar senior HR role.
- Demonstrable experience in managing HR functions for both domestic and international employees/contractors is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of Indian labor laws and HR best practices. Knowledge of Australian employment regulations would be an advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and HRIS systems.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM or 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM IST (Early morning shift to align with Australian business hours)
