Role Purpose
To act as a strategic HR partner to the Content business, enabling business outcomes through effective talent management, organization design, employee engagement, and HR interventions tailored to the dynamic content ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic HR Business Partnering
- Partner with Content leadership (Creative, Production, Programming teams) to drive people strategy aligned with business goals
- Act as a trusted advisor on organization structure, workforce planning, and leadership effectiveness
- Support business transformation and change management initiatives
2. Talent Management & Development
- Drive talent review, succession planning, and high-potential development for content teams
- Collaborate with L&D to identify capability gaps and build interventions for creative & production talent
- Support career pathing for niche roles in content creation and media production
3. Performance Management
- Anchor performance management processes (goal setting, mid-year, annual reviews)
- Drive a high-performance culture through regular performance conversations and coaching with managers
- Enable calibration discussions and ensure fairness and consistency
4. Employee Engagement & Culture
- Design and implement engagement initiatives suited for creative teams and fast-paced production environments
- Monitor employee pulse, attrition trends, and conduct action planning with business leaders
- Actively resolve employee concerns while maintaining a positive work environment
5. HR Operations & Compliance
- Ensure seamless execution of HR processes (onboarding, confirmations, exits, policy adherence)
- Maintain compliance with labour laws, company policies, and industry norms
- Partner with HR Operations for efficient service delivery
6. Workforce Planning & Analytics
- Drive manpower planning aligned with content pipeline and production cycles
- Track HR metrics (attrition, hiring, engagement, productivity) and provide insights to leadership
- Use data to influence decision-making in staffing and org design
7. Talent Acquisition Support
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to hire niche creative talent
- Ensure quick turnaround hiring to meet Channel timelines
- Support hiring for fiction, non-fiction, digital content, and regional language programming teams across channels and platforms
- Ensure availability of talent for high-priority launches, marquee shows, and seasonal content spikes
- Provide market insights on creative talent availability, compensation trends, and competitor benchmarking within the broadcast and digital media industry
- Drive quick turnaround hiring while maintaining quality and cultural fit within ZEE's content ecosystem

Qualifications & Experience
- MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent
- 8–12 years of HR experience, with at least 3–5 years as HRBP
- Experience in media, entertainment, digital content or creative industries preferred
- Fluency in Telugu is mandatory to effectively engage with regional audiences and stakeholders.
