Role Purpose
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) acts as a strategic partner to business leaders, aligning HR strategies with business objectives. This role focuses on driving organizational effectiveness, talent management, employee engagement, and change initiatives while ensuring compliance with HR policies and practices.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic HR Partnership
- Collaborate with business leaders to understand organizational goals and translate them into HR initiatives
- Drive workforce planning, organizational design, and succession planning
- Act as a trusted advisor on people-related matters
2. Talent Management & Development
- Lead performance management processes and ensure goal alignment
- Identify high-potential employees and create development plans
- Partner with L&D teams to implement capability-building initiatives
3. Employee Engagement & Culture
- Drive employee engagement initiatives and surveys
- Address employee concerns and foster a positive work environment
- Promote company values and culture across the organization
4. Employee Relations
- Manage complex employee relations issues with a balanced approach
- Ensure fair and consistent application of policies and disciplinary actions
- Support conflict resolution and grievance handling
5. Change Management
- Support organizational change initiatives such as restructuring, mergers, or transformation programs
- Guide leaders and employees through change with effective communication strategies
6. HR Operations & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to labor laws and company policies
- Partner with HR operations for seamless execution of HR processes (onboarding, exits, payroll inputs, etc.)
- Analyze HR metrics and provide actionable insights
7. Stakeholder Management
- Build strong relationships with leadership and cross-functional teams
- Collaborate with COEs (Centers of Excellence) like Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits, and L&D
Key Requirements
- Master's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (MBA/PGDM in HR preferred)
- 812 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5+ years in an HRBP role
- Strong business acumen and understanding of HR best practices
- Proven experience in stakeholder management and influencing leadership
- Sound knowledge of labor laws and compliance (India exposure preferred)
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
