HR Associate

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented HR Associate to support our Human Resources team. This role involves managing HR operations, supporting recruitment, and ensuring smooth employee and subcontractor coordination, preferably within the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR team, including scheduling, drafting documents, and handling communication.
  • Coordinate recruitment efforts post jobs, source and screen candidates, schedule interviews, and support the hiring process.
  • Conduct initial interviews and assist in evaluating candidates for various roles.
  • Assist with onboarding and orientation for new hires.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors (subs), including calling, verifying credentials, collecting documents, and onboarding them into company systems.
  • Support training coordination, track attendance, and maintain compliance records.
  • Generate HR reports such as headcount, turnover, and hiring progress.
  • Address employee queries and provide general HR support.
  • Participate in the interview process (scheduling, screening, note-taking).
  • Ensure HR processes align with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Support employee engagement and internal communication initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 810 years of HR experience, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ADP.
  • Solid experience in recruitment and HR operations.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience managing subcontractors or field workforce.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Hands-on US hiring experience, with knowledge of recruitment compliance and labor practices.
  • Prior experience in onboarding and coordinating with subcontractors.
