Job Overview

The Human Resources Assistant at Spandana Hospital will play a pivotal role in supporting the HR department. This is a full-time, junior-level position based in Bangalore, ideal for candidates with 1 to 3 years of relevant HR experience. The successful candidate will assist with recruitment, payroll administration, interview coordination, onboarding, record management, and more within a dynamic and patient-centric healthcare environment.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Demonstrated experience in recruitment support including job postings, resume screening, and candidate follow-ups (Mandatory skill).
  • Proficient in payroll administration with a focus on accuracy, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance (Mandatory skill).
  • Expertise in interview scheduling and coordination across departments, ensuring a smooth candidate experience (Mandatory skill).
  • Solid understanding of employee onboarding processes, enabling efficient integration of new hires into the organization.
  • Experience maintaining and updating accurate employee records, both in manual and digital formats, as per HR protocols.
  • Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) for managing employee data, leave records, and HR compliance tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities to facilitate effective interactions with candidates, employees, and management.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, healthcare-focused environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assist the HR team in recruitment activities, including sourcing candidates, scheduling interviews, and maintaining communication with applicants.
  • Support payroll administration by gathering relevant data, verifying timesheets, and coordinating with the finance department for timely salary disbursement.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews with candidates and departmental heads, ensuring timely feedback and proper documentation.
  • Facilitate onboarding processes, including preparing orientation materials, welcoming new hires, and ensuring completion of all joining formalities.
  • Maintain and update physical and electronic employee records to ensure compliance and data integrity.
  • Input, update, and retrieve information from HRIS to support HR operations and generate necessary reports.
  • Respond to employee queries related to HR policies, payroll, benefits, and provide accurate information or escalate as needed.
  • Assist in HR audits, compliance checks, and implementation of best practices to support organizational goals and standards.
