Job Description

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment across India: create job postings, source candidates, screen resumes, coordinate interviews, manage ATS updates and extend offers.
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes: prepare offer letters, co-ordinate background verification, complete documentation and ensure smooth induction for remote hires.
  • Operate and maintain HRIS and employee records: update master data, reconcile attendance and support monthly payroll coordination with payroll vendors.
  • Ensure statutory compliance and record-keeping for India: assist with PF/ESI filings, professional tax, labor law adherence and audit documentation.
  • Handle employee relations and engagement: address grievances, support manager-employee conversations, run periodic engagement activities and pulse surveys.
  • Support performance management and HR policy execution: track appraisals, maintain HR dashboards and implement policy updates for a remote workforce.

Skills & Qualifications Must-Have

  • 0-2 years experience in HR generalist or HR executive role handling recruitment, onboarding and HR operations.
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems and strong comfort with MS Excel for reporting.
  • Practical knowledge of payroll coordination and statutory compliance in India (PF, ESI, professional tax).
  • Demonstrated employee relations and onboarding experience for remote/distributed teams.
  • Excellent record-keeping, confidentiality and ability to manage multiple HR workflows independently.

Preferred

  • Experience with HRIS platforms such as Zoho People, BambooHR or Workday.
  • Exposure to HR analytics, dashboards and basic reporting (HR metrics, attrition, hiring velocity).
  • HR certification (SHRM/PHR/CHRP) or formal training in Indian labor law (advantageous).
