HSE Manager/Country HSE ManagerYour Role and Responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to improving Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) performance within your area of responsibility, helping to foster a high-performance culture with a strong focus on HSE. On a daily basis, you will support the business by applying in-depth HSE knowledge and providing solutions and guidance. You will also demonstrate your expertise by ensuring effective risk management and promoting HSE excellence across the ABB value chain.
Work model for the role: #LI - Onsite
This position supports Process Automation in Energy Industries for the India Region.
Key stakeholders include Operations teams, Project Managers, Site Engineers, and Regional HSE Managers.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Reporting HSE incidents to management and relevant stakeholders and initiating appropriate actions.
Facilitating, assisting, and providing guidance on incident investigations to identify improved risk mitigation strategies.
Sharing feedback with management and team members on lessons learned and best practices from within the unit and across ABB.
Supporting and promoting behavioural change through the local implementation of group-wide and business-specific performance improvement programs and practices.

Qualifications for the role
Strong expertise in HSE activities and sustainability practices within the energy and industrial automation sectors.
8 to 12 years of experience in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) roles.
Advanced knowledge of risk assessment, incident investigation, and safety audits.
Passion for continuous improvement, collaboration, and fostering a safety-first culture.
Educational qualifications: B.E / B.Tech (Mechanical/Electrical) and Diploma in Industrial Safety (mandatory) from a state-recognized institute or NEBOSH IGC/Diploma.
Comfortable communicating in English and relevant local languages.
Holds valid safety certifications and licenses applicable in India, along with necessary work permits, if required.
