About the Role

TheSenior HR Specialist - Shared Services (APAC)is a senior HR professional responsible for supporting and coordinating HR Shared Services operations for a diverse APAC employee population(supporting Headcount of approx. 600)- including Malaysia, India, Australia, Korea, and EORjurisdictionssuch as Hong Kong, Singapore, and Thailand.

This role ensuresHR data quality, compliance with local employment practices, coordinated escalation of employment matters, and consistent delivery of HR servicesacross these markets. The position is based in India and collaborates withHR Business Partners, Shared Services, Legal, payroll, and external partnersto provide seamless HR service delivery and risk-aware governance.

WhatYou'llDo

HR Shared Services & Data Governance

  • EnsureaccurateHR lifecycle datain the HRIS (e.g., Workday) for all APAC employees and contractors, including statutory requirements in each country.

  • Oversee the quality and integrity of HR transactions processed via global shared services, external payroll partners, or vendors.

  • Act as aregional escalation pointfor HR operational issues, data discrepancies, and service quality gaps.

  • Maintain up-to-date Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), control processes, and knowledge artifacts tailored to APAC requirementsand manage the change management.

  • Run periodic data auditsto check data quality and identify& fixthe process gaps for continuous improvement.

Employee & Manager Support

  • Serve as asenior point of contactfor employees and people leaders across APAC on HR policy questions, procedural guidance, and HRIS issues.

  • Triageemployeeand manager inquiries toappropriate resolutionpathways - shared services execution, HRBP, Legal, or external advisors - with clear expectations and timelines.

  • Providepractical guidance for performance management, statutory leave, mobility, and other HR processes in line with local practices and global standards.

  • Support onboarding, role changes, offboarding, and transitions across APAC markets witha consistent, compliant experience.

Employment Matters & Compliance Coordination

  • Monitor employment-related matters arising across APAC, ensuringappropriate involvementof HRBPs and Legal where issues involve risk or sensitive concerns.

  • Handleroutine, low-risk workplace mattersautonomously whenappropriate escalate medium- to high-risk situations with recommended next steps and context.

  • Ensure employment matters and outcomes are properlydocumented, tracked, and closed, supporting governance, audit readiness, and trend analysis.

  • Stay current onlocal statutory and regulatory requirements(e.g., employment contracts, statutory benefits, leave laws, and EOR compliance practices) relevant to HR delivery across the region.

Reporting, Insights & Continuous Improvement

  • Produce regular HR reporting includingheadcount, data quality, inquiry volumes, case trends, and operational KPIs.

  • Analyze data toidentifyrisk areas, inconsistencies, and opportunities for process improvements, and partner with Shared Services and HRIS teams to drive enhancements.

  • Contribute to ongoing improvement ofHR Shared Services delivery standards, knowledge management, and workflow design in APAC.

What Makes You a Strong Fit

Experience & Domain Knowledge

  • Bachelor's degree inHuman Resources, Business Administration, or a related field advanced HR certifications are a plus.

  • Typically8+years of progressive experiencein HR Shared Services, HR Operations, or regional HR roles supporting multiple countries in APAC.

  • Demonstrated experience supporting cross-border HR operations with an understanding of various local labor practices and compliance requirements across APAC.

  • Experience partnering with global HR Shared Services teams, local HR partners, payroll vendors, and Legal.

Language & Communication

  • Fluent English(written and verbal)additionallanguageproficiencyrelevant to APAC markets is an advantage.

  • Strong communicationskills with sensitivity tomulticultural stakeholdersand global HR partners.

Technical & Analytical Skills

  • Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms (Workday preferred), including data governance, reporting, and audit support.

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate HR data into insights for operational and governance purposes.

  • Familiarity with case management tools(Service Now preferred), ticketing workflows, and service-level management concepts common in shared services.
