FUNCTION INTRODUCTION:

JOB PURPOSE:
- Co-create an inclusive performance culture at sourcing units.
- Implement Unit HR Strategy aligned with company-wide HR, ER, and SC strategies.
- Own capability interventions to support business transformation.
- Maintain cordial industrial relations (IR) to ensure business continuity.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
A. Business Partnering:
- Execute HR Strategy for the Unit.
- Ensure adherence to Unilever policies and governance at supply units.
B. Manpower Planning and Recruitment:
- Ensure 100% manpower availability for permanent and contract labor.
- Track and control unauthorized absenteeism.
- Assist UHRM in designing succession plans, mentoring, coaching frameworks, and induction programs.
- Identify recruitment sources and maintain a database of job aspirants.
- Facilitate recruitment, induction, and deployment of temporary workmen.
- Monitor new recruits to assess recruitment effectiveness.
- Organize induction training (classroom, practical, on-the-job).
- Coordinate appraisal reports for trainees, probationers, and confirmed employees.
C. Cultural Development, Change & Communication:
- Assist in action planning and drive transformation initiatives like UMS, Future of Work.
- Promote inclusion and improve representation on the shopfloor (PwDs, women, LGBTQ+).
- Execute initiatives for site integration and collaborative work across extended supply chain.
- Facilitate communication forums, team briefings, newsletters.
- Establish connectivity with employees to understand unit culture and develop change initiatives.
D. Learning Management at Unit:
- Facilitate skill mix transformation through upskilling and reskilling programs per Factory Master Plan.
- Develop and execute annual training calendar aligned with business needs.
- Prepare job rotation plans for on-the-job learning.
- Maintain learning data, facilities, and resources (technical centers, learning centers).
- Coordinate with internal/external facilitators (ITI, CBWE, NGOs).
- Operate evaluation system, provide feedback, analyze results, and plan improvements.
- Retain key talent through capability building and career progression planning.
E. Performance Improvement & Management:
- Monitor PDP system for executives and workers.
- Ensure compliance with quality requirements, processes, and timelines.
- Facilitate performance reviews for blue-collar population.
- Manage employee exits and performance counseling.
F. Employee Relations & Public Relations:
- Maintain harmonious, productive, and progressive employee relations.
- Execute collective bargaining and wage negotiations under guidance.
- Maintain cordial relations with workmen through formal/informal interactions.
- Resolve conflicts and manage relationships with external government and political bodies.
G. CSR Projects:
- Execute Prabhat program to develop sustainable ecosystems and communities at site level.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 to 6 years of experience in HR or related functions.
- Post Graduate Diploma or equivalent in Personnel Management / Human Resource Management.
