What You Can Expect

The HR Manager India GCC is responsible for leading end-to-end HR operations, talent programs, and employee relations for the India Global Capability Center while aligning closely with global HR strategy and governance. This role partners with regional and global leaders to scale the GCC, ensure compliance with Indian labor laws, and deliver a strong employee experience across the talent lifecycle.

The role combines hands-on HR execution, people leadership, and strategic partnership, supporting a diverse workforce across technology, engineering, shared services, and corporate functions.

How You'll Create Impact

HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle

  • Lead end-to-end HR operations for the India GCC, including onboarding, offboarding, employee data management, and HR service delivery
  • Ensure consistent application of global HR policies while adapting to local regulatory requirements
  • Serve as primary escalation point for employee relations issues and workplace concerns

Talent Management & Workforce Planning

  • Partner with business and GCC leadership on workforce planning, hiring strategy, and capacity scaling
  • Support recruiting teams on hiring demand, offer alignment, and onboarding readiness
  • Lead performance management, promotion cycles, and talent review processes

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Manage employee relations matters, investigations, and disciplinary actions in compliance with Indian labor laws
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (Shops & Establishments Act, Factories Act where applicable, POSH, labor codes)
  • Partner with Legal and Compliance teams on audits and risk mitigation

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes and operating models

Your Background

Required Skills

  • 7-10 years of progressive experience in Human Resources
  • 3 - 5 years in an HR Manager or HR Business Partner role
  • Experience supporting technology, engineering, or shared services organizations
  • Experience working in a Global Capability Center (GCC) or multinational environment strongly preferred

HR Systems & Platforms

  • HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM)
  • Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) (e.g., SAP Success Factors, Workday, Greenhouse, iCIMS)
  • Performance management and talent systems

Payroll, Benefits & Compliance

  • India payroll systems and vendors
  • Statutory compliance tools (PF, ESI, PT, Gratuity)
  • Employee data privacy and records management

Reporting & Analytics

  • HR dashboards and reporting tools (Excel advanced; Power BI preferred)
  • Headcount, attrition, engagement, and DEI metrics

Collaboration & Enablement

  • Microsoft 365 or equivalent collaboration platforms
  • HR knowledge base and case management tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience scaling GCCs from early-stage to mature operations
  • Experience partnering with U.S. or EMEA-based leadership teams
  • Exposure to mergers, acquisitions, or organizational transformations
  • Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, CIPD, NHRDN)
  • Strong understanding of Indian labor law and employment practices

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or related field (or equivalent experience)
