1. Performance Management System (PMS)
- Drive the end-to-end PMS process at the plant level.
- Coordinate goal-setting, mid-year reviews, and annual appraisals.
- Support HODs in creating KRA/KPIs aligned with business objectives.
- Track performance improvement plans and maintain PMS records.
2. HR Policies & Compliance
- Implement and ensure adherence to company HR policies at the plant.
- Develop plant-specific SOPs aligned with organizational guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws such as Factories Act, ESIC, PF, etc.
- Handle statutory audits and maintain compliance documentation.
3. Employee Relations & Engagement
- Maintain healthy industrial relations with plant employees and contract labour.
- Address employee grievances and support conflict resolution.
- Plan and execute employee engagement activities and welfare initiatives.
- Build strong communication channels between management and employees.
4. Recruitment & Onboarding
- Manage manpower planning for plant operations.
- Coordinate with corporate HR for hiring requirements.
- Facilitate recruitment, interviews, and selection for plant-level positions.
- Drive smooth onboarding, induction, and orientation for new joiners.
5. Training & Development
- Identify skill gaps across plant departments.
- Coordinate with operations teams to schedule technical and behavioral training.
- Monitor training effectiveness and maintain MIS.
6. Contract Labour Management
- Ensure contractor compliance (CLRA, challans, wage sheets).
- Monitor contractor performance, workforce availability, and discipline.
- Conduct periodic audits of contract labour records.
7. Health, Safety & Welfare
- Work closely with the Safety team to ensure compliance with safety norms.
- Support welfare activities such as medical check-ups, canteen, transportation, etc.
8. MIS & Reporting
- Prepare HR dashboards and monthly reports.
- Maintain records of absenteeism, attrition, overtime, and manpower strength.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- MBA/PGDM in HR or equivalent.
- 612 years of HR experience (preferably in steel / heavy manufacturing plants).
- Strong knowledge of labour laws and statutory compliance.
- Experience in Performance Management and HR policy implementation.
- Good interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle IR matters and work with multiple stakeholders.
