Job Description

HR Manager

Key Responsibilities

1. Recruitment & Staffing

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for teaching and non-teaching staff.

  • Coordinate job postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and onboarding.

  • Work with school leadership to identify staffing needs and manpower planning.


2. Employee Onboarding & Orientation

  • Conduct new employee orientation and induction programs.

  • Ensure proper documentation and employee records are maintained.

  • Help new employees understand school policies, culture, and expectations.


3. Performance Management

  • Implement staff performance evaluation systems.

  • Coordinate teacher and staff appraisals with the academic leadership team.

  • Support staff development plans and improvement programs.


4. Training & Development

  • Organize training programs, workshops, and professional development for teachers and staff.

  • Identify training needs to improve teaching quality and administrative efficiency.


5. Employee Relations

  • Address employee concerns and maintain a positive work environment.

  • Promote teamwork and strong communication among staff members.

  • Ensure proper disciplinary procedures when required.


6. HR Policies & Compliance

  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures aligned with school standards.

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, school regulations, and statutory requirements.

  • Maintain records related to attendance, leave management, and contracts.


7. Payroll & HR Administration

  • Coordinate salary processing, attendance, leave records, and employee benefits.

  • Maintain employee files and HR documentation.

  • Prepare HR reports for school management.


Required Skills

  • Strong leadership and people management skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Knowledge of HR policies, labor laws, and recruitment processes

  • Good organizational and problem-solving abilities

  • Proficiency in MS Office and HR software systems


Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources / Business Administration / Management

  • MBA in HR or relevant HR certification preferred


Preferred Qualities

  • Experience working in schools or educational institutions

  • Ability to work closely with academic and administrative teams

  • Strong conflict resolution and decision-making skills
