Role Overview
The HR Manager will be responsible for managing the complete HR lifecycle and industrial relations activities, ensuring statutory compliance, driving employee engagement, and aligning HR practices with business objectives. The role requires hands-on experience in managing shop-floor workforce, compliance, and people development initiatives in a structured organization.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Management
- Manage end-to-end talent acquisition, including manpower planning, sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding
- Drive performance management systems, goal setting, appraisals, and employee development initiatives
- Design and manage compensation & benefits structures in line with company policies
- Implement and update HR policies, SOPs, and employee handbooks
- Lead organizational development and employee engagement initiatives
Employee Relations & Industrial Relations
- Handle employee relations, grievance management, and disciplinary actions
- Manage industrial relations, including interaction with unions (if applicable), negotiations, and dispute resolution
- Ensure a healthy and compliant work environment across shop floor and staff levels
Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with labour laws and statutory requirements (PF, ESI, Factory Act, CLRA, Shops & Establishments, etc.)
- Coordinate audits and inspections with government authorities
- Maintain accurate HR records and statutory documentation
HR Operations & Reporting
- Oversee HR operations including attendance, leave management, payroll coordination, and HRMIS
- Prepare HR reports, dashboards, and analytics for management review
- Partner with leadership to support business growth and workforce planning
Qualification
- MBA / MSW in Human Resources / Industrial Relations (mandatory)
Experience & Skills Required
- 67 years of hands-on experience in HR & IR functions
- Strong exposure to manufacturing / plant HR operations
- Sound knowledge of Indian labour laws and compliance
- Experience in shop-floor HR and workforce management
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently and handle sensitive matters with discretion
