Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for all employees.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports for management review.
  • Maintain employee records, including salary changes, deductions, and bonuses.
  • Implement payroll policies and practices that comply with legal regulations.
  • Respond to payroll inquiries and resolve any issues promptly.
  • Assist with audits related to payroll and ensure compliance with internal controls.
  • Coordinate with the finance department for timely payroll funding.
  • Stay up-to-date with payroll tax changes and update systems accordingly.
  • Assist in the integration of new payroll technology and software updates.
  • Compile data for payroll-related filings, including federal and state forms.
  • Educate employees on payroll processes and benefits-related questions.
  • Help in budgeting and forecasting payroll expenses.
  • Conduct regular reconciliations to ensure payroll accuracy.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process concerning payroll documentation.

Required Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Human Resources.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll software (e.g. Smart Office)
  • Familiarity with local payroll & Statutory compliances.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Proven experience in handling payroll audits and discrepancies.
  • Knowledge of HR practices and legislation is beneficial.
  • Certification as a Payroll Professional (CPP) is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with various departments.
