Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for all employees.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports for management review.
- Maintain employee records, including salary changes, deductions, and bonuses.
- Implement payroll policies and practices that comply with legal regulations.
- Respond to payroll inquiries and resolve any issues promptly.
- Assist with audits related to payroll and ensure compliance with internal controls.
- Coordinate with the finance department for timely payroll funding.
- Stay up-to-date with payroll tax changes and update systems accordingly.
- Assist in the integration of new payroll technology and software updates.
- Compile data for payroll-related filings, including federal and state forms.
- Educate employees on payroll processes and benefits-related questions.
- Help in budgeting and forecasting payroll expenses.
- Conduct regular reconciliations to ensure payroll accuracy.
- Facilitate the onboarding process concerning payroll documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Masters degree in Human Resources.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing.
- Strong knowledge of payroll software (e.g. Smart Office)
- Familiarity with local payroll & Statutory compliances.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Proven experience in handling payroll audits and discrepancies.
- Knowledge of HR practices and legislation is beneficial.
- Certification as a Payroll Professional (CPP) is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with various departments.
