Job Description

Primary job title: Human Resources Executive (HR Executive)

About The Opportunity

A fast-growing organization in the EdTech & mentorship sector operating across India, focused on delivering career-skills programs and one-on-one coaching through technology-enabled learning and on-site operations. We hire and develop high-performing teams to support scale-up in student engagement, campus programs, and customer success.

Location & Work Model: On-site role across India hands-on HR operations, recruitment, and employee engagement at our offices and program sites.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Own onboarding and induction processes: coordinate offer letters, joining formalities, background checks, and induction schedules for new hires.
  • Execute HR operations including payroll support, attendance tracking, leave management, and statutory compliance (PF, ESI, tax coordination).
  • Maintain and update HRIS/ATS records, generate HR reports and dashboards (headcount, attrition, joiners/leavers) for business stakeholders.
  • Support employee relations and performance management activities: assist with appraisals, training logistics, exit interviews, and resolution of employee queries.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment: source, screen, interview, and close candidates for campus and corporate hiring using ATS and direct sourcing channels.
  • Partner with People & Ops leads on employer branding, campus engagement events, and local HR initiatives to improve retention and employee experience.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

  • 0.62 years of hands-on HR experience in recruitment and HR operations (preferably in EdTech, startups or high-growth services).
  • Practical knowledge of payroll basics and statutory compliance (PF, ESI, professional tax) for India.
  • Proficient with HRIS/ATS tools and strong MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, basic formulas).
  • Excellent communication skills, customer-service mindset, and ability to engage stakeholders across levels.
  • Organised, process-oriented, and able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, on-site environment.

Preferred

  • Exposure to LMS/training coordination, performance appraisal cycles, or HR analytics.
