Job Description

Position Overview

The HR Business Partner will provide strategic and operational HR partnership to leaders across the AECOM India business. The role will shape and deliver people strategies aligned with business needs, workforce priorities, and AECOM's global people agenda. A key responsibility will be leading the employee engagement strategy for AECOM India, working across HRBPs, business lines, and HR functions to strengthen culture, experience, and organizational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR Partnership

  • Partner with AECOM India leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, talent strategy, and culture priorities.
  • Provide datadriven insights on workforce trends and act as a trusted advisor on peoplerelated decisions.
  • Support leadership effectiveness, succession planning, and key capabilitybuilding initiatives.

Employee Engagement Leadership

  • Design and lead the AECOM India Employee Engagement Plan, ensuring alignment with diverse business line needs and workforce demographics.
  • Collaborate with HRBPs to tailor engagement solutions for different technical and operational teams.
  • Partner with the Employee Experience Enhancement Committee, HR Operations, and Talent Management to deliver enterprise engagement initiatives.
  • Use employee listening insights to shape programs focused on retention, manager capability, hybrid work, inclusion, and wellbeing.
  • Track engagement outcomes and refine strategies based on feedback and data.

Operational & Advisory Responsibilities

  • Provide handson support for complex employee matters and sensitive HR interventions.
  • Ensure consistent application of HR governance, risk management, practices, and India regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with COEs (Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Talent Management, HR Operations) to deliver integrated HR solutions.
  • Support recruitment strategies, workforce rampup plans, and capability needs in collaboration with TA and business leaders.
  • Contribute to enterprise programs such as Early Career Talent, leadership development, ED&I, and wellbeing initiatives.

Stakeholder & External Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with business leaders and key HR partners to support strategic outcomes.
  • Engage with external partners and forums, where relevant, to strengthen AECOM's employer brand and talent visibility.

Qualifications

  • 1015 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in large, matrixed organizations or engineering/consulting environments.
  • Strong experience in HR business partnering with exposure to employee engagement strategy design or execution.

Additional Information

  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and anticipate business needs.
  • Strong understanding of India labor regulations and HR governance.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and analytical skills.
