Job Responsibilities
Job Summary
The HR Business Analyst II serves as a key analytical partner to HR and business stakeholders, taking ownership of complex reporting, advanced data analysis, and cross-functional initiatives. This role requires strong technical proficiency, the ability to interpret and translate data into actionable insights, and a high degree of independence in managing priorities and deliverables. The ideal candidate demonstrates advanced Excel/BI skills, a strong command of Workday (or similar HRIS), and the capability to enhance reporting processes, drive data quality improvements, and support strategic HR decision‑making.
Key Responsibilities
Data & Reporting
- Prepare, validate, and distribute recurring HR reports and dashboards with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Perform data analysis using Excel and other tools to identify data issues, trends, or inconsistencies.
- Support ad-hoc and recurring reports from Workday.
- Ensure all deliverables are accurate, complete, and delivered on time to internal stakeholders, including HR leadership and business partners.
- Conduct data audits and reconciliations to maintain data integrity across HR systems.
- Own deliverables end‑to‑end, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and clarity in outputs to diverse internal stakeholders.
- Build and maintain Power BI dashbaords (advanced, DAX, RLS models) and support optimization of reporting capabilities. Case Management
- Manage daily HR case activity through the HR Service Delivery platform (e.g., Workday Help, ServiceNow), ensuring timely resolution and adherence to SLAs.
- Serve as the first line of support for HR-related reporting inquiries, escalating complex cases as appropriate.
- Manage data requests from the Proposals team (RFI/RFP requests), ensuring responses are accurate, complete, and delivered within deadlines.
- Maintain accurate documentation of case activity and responses to support audit and reference needs. Data Quality & Governance
- Review data with a critical eye to identify anomalies, inconsistencies, or errors before reporting.
- Handle sensitive and confidential employee information with discretion and in compliance with data privacy standards.
- Support process improvements to enhance data quality, efficiency, and repeatability. Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with HR Business Partners, Centers of Excellence (COEs), the Proposals team, and other stakeholders to understand reporting needs and provide accurate insights.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with stakeholders, including senior leaders, ensuring data is presented in a clear and meaningful way.
- Proactively manage expectations, prioritize competing requests, and follow through with accountability.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 4–6 years of experience in HR reporting, HR operations, or a related analytical role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data validation, lookups, charts).
- Advanced knowledge on Power BI, storyboarding, and generating descriptive insights
- Good understanding of HR metrics and concepts such as headcount, turnover, and attrition.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to assess data for accuracy and context.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to data quality.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with HR reporting tools (e.g., Workday Reports, Power BI, or similar BI tools).
- Familiarity with HR service delivery or ticketing systems (e.g., Workday Help, ServiceNow).
- Experience supporting a global or matrixed HR environment.
- Demonstrated initiative in identifying and solving data or process issues proactively.
