Reports To: Housekeeping Supervisor / Executive Housekeeper

Role Overview

The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and upkeep of guest rooms, corridors, and public areas as per brand standards. The role requires prior experience in hotels and a strong commitment to guest comfort and detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and service guest rooms, bathrooms, and assigned areas as per standard operating procedures.
  • Change linens, make beds, replenish amenities, and maintain rooms to ready for guest condition.
  • Clean corridors, lift lobbies, service areas, and other assigned public areas.
  • Report maintenance issues, damaged items, or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
  • Ensure trolley, cleaning equipment, and supplies are neatly arranged and maintained.
  • Follow proper usage of cleaning agents, chemicals, and housekeeping equipment.
  • Respect guest privacy and follow Do Not Disturb and lost-and-found procedures.
  • Coordinate with Front Office and Housekeeping control desk for room status updates.
  • Follow grooming standards, hygiene norms, and company policies at all times.
Requirements
  • Prior experience as Housekeeping Attendant / Room Attendant in a hotel is mandatory.
  • Basic understanding of hotel housekeeping standards and room cleaning procedures.
  • Physically fit and able to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods.
  • Ability to understand basic instructions and communicate politely with guests and team members.
  • Attention to detail, punctuality, and a positive, service-oriented attitude.
