Job Description

Role: HNI Relationship Manager

Location: (Remote/ Uttar Pradesh only)

Reports to: Founder

Employment type: Full-time

Commission: INR 50,000 per HNI converted

Role summary

Rupeia is looking for an experienced, proactive Relationship Manager to own relationships with High Net-Worth Individuals (HNIs). You'll be the first point of contact for new clients, run personalised financial consultations, ensure smooth onboarding, and keep relationships active through disciplined follow-ups and service delivery. The job is equal parts advisory, sales, and client care with strong focus on growing Assets Under Management (AUM) and client satisfaction.

Core responsibilities (mapped to your 4 areas)

1) Onboarding make it frictionless

Act as the primary RM for new HNI clients from first interest through funding and account activation.

Run KYC / AML checks coordinate with compliance; ensure documentation completeness and timely escalation of gaps.

Create a bespoke client profile (risk profile, goals, liquidity needs, tax considerations).

2) Consultation personalized financial advice

Conduct deep-dive one-on-one consultations (in-person / video) to understand goals, constraints, and time horizon.

Build tailored wealth plans and recommend asset allocation across mutual funds, equities, fixed income, alternatives and structured products offered by Rupeia.

Coordinate with in-house research/portfolio teams to construct or propose portfolios.

Educate clients simply explain risks, expected returns, tax and exit implications.

Obtain signed investment mandates and consent for execution.

3) Follow-up proactive relationship maintenance

Maintain a disciplined follow-up cadence: investment reminders, SIP reviews, portfolio rebalances, and policy/market updates.

Run quarterly / semi-annual portfolio review meetings; propose rebalancing or tax-loss harvesting when needed.

Use CRM to log interactions, action items, and follow-up outcomes.

Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities (credit, estate planning, alternative investments) and coordinate handoffs.

Resolve client queries and complaints quickly with empathy.

4) Point of Contact (POC) trusted single window

Be the single POC for assigned clients: coordinate with product, operations, compliance, and tax teams on behalf of client.

Ensure promised deliverables (monthly reports, performance dashboards, tax statements) are delivered on time and accurately.

Manage escalations and coordinate bespoke requests (large blocks, transfers, loan against portfolio).

Build long-term trust and act as the client's advocate inside Rupeia.

KPIs & targets (examples you can set)

Quarterly AUM growth (absolute & %).

Number of net new HNI clients / quarter.

Cross-sell / share-of-wallet increase.

Client satisfaction (NPS or CSAT).

Must-have experience & skills

0-3 years in wealth management, private banking, or HNI relationship management.

Strong understanding of Indian investment products (mutual funds, equities, bonds, FDs, insurance, alternative products).

Excellent interpersonal skills confident presenter, negotiator and listener.

Good grasp of KYC/AML requirements and compliance basics.

Comfortable with CRM tools and MS Office; able to prepare clear investment pitch decks.

Professional certifications preferred: CFP / NISM / CA-Inter / CFA (any one is a plus).

Nice-to-have

Prior experience with family offices or ultra-HNI relationships.

Network in target HNI segments (entrepreneurs, promoters, C-suite).

Experience with structured products, PMS, or alternative investments.
