Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented HMC (Horizontal Machining Center) Operator & Setter to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, and operating CNC horizontal machining centers to produce high-precision components. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in CNC programming (Fanuc), a deep understanding of tooling, and a commitment to maintaining rigorous quality standards.

Key Responsibilities :

• Setup & Configuration: Perform full machine setups, including installing fixtures, clocking vices, and loading specific tools according to setup sheets.
• Operation: Run production batches on HMC machines, ensuring parts meet dimensional tolerances and surface finish requirements.
• Programming & Offsets: Read and interpret G-code/M-code. Perform tool wear offsets and work coordinate adjustments to maintain part accuracy.
• Quality Control: Conduct first-off and in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and bore gauges.
• Tooling Management: Monitor tool life, replace worn inserts, and preset tools to minimize downtime.
• Maintenance: Perform daily machine maintenance (checking coolant levels, lubrication, and chip removal) and report any mechanical issues.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate production logs and quality reports.

Required Qualifications & Skills :

• Experience: Minimum experience in HMC setup and operation within a precision engineering environment.
• Technical Literacy: Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
• Measurement Skills: Proficiency with hand-held precision measuring tools.
• Controller Knowledge: Familiarity with Fanuc control systems.

Preferred Qualifications :

• ITI/Diploma Freshers can also apply.
• Basic knowledge of CAD/CAM software.
• Certification from a technical school or completed apprenticeship in machining.
