Description
We are seeking a skilled HMC Operator and Setter to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating Horizontal Machining Centers to produce precision components. The role requires a blend of technical expertise and attention to detail to ensure high-quality output.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Horizontal Machining Centers (HMC) according to specifications and engineering drawings.
- Monitor machine operations and adjust settings as necessary to ensure optimal performance and quality.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure proper functioning and longevity.
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance, ensuring that they meet specifications and tolerances.
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency.
- Document production processes and maintain accurate records of work performed.
Skills and Qualifications
- 1-10 years of experience in operating and setting up HMCs in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong knowledge of machining processes, tools, and materials.
- Experience with CNC programming and G-code is highly desirable.
- Ability to troubleshoot machine issues and perform basic repairs.
- Familiarity with quality control standards and inspection techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
