About the Role
We are looking for a History Professor (Freelancer) to support advanced AI evaluation initiatives focused on historical analysis, academic research, educational content, critical reasoning, and historical interpretation.
In this role, you will work with AI-generated outputs related to world history, regional history, political history, cultural movements, historical events, historical research, and academic learning materials, helping improve how AI models understand and generate accurate, nuanced historical content.
Your expertise will contribute to improving AI systems used for education, research assistance, content generation, knowledge management, and humanities-focused applications.
Responsibilities
- Create deliverables addressing common requests within your professional domain
- Annotate and evaluate AI-generated historical content, research summaries, and educational materials
- Review peer-developed deliverables to improve AI research quality and consistency
- Assess AI outputs for historical accuracy, contextual understanding, analytical depth, academic rigor, and educational value
- Identify factual inaccuracies, chronological errors, historical misconceptions, contextual gaps, or weak interpretations in AI-generated content and provide structured feedback
- Support workflows involving historical research, curriculum development, academic writing, assessment creation, and educational content review
- Contribute domain expertise to improve AI systems focused on history, historical reasoning, and cultural understanding
Requirements
- Master's degree, PhD, or equivalent academic expertise in History, Historical Studies, Archaeology, Political History, Cultural Studies, or a related field
- Experience teaching history at a university, college, or higher education institution
- Strong understanding of historical research methodologies, historiography, source evaluation, and academic writing
- Experience publishing research papers, books, articles, or scholarly work is preferred
- Ability to evaluate complex historical content for accuracy, context, objectivity, and educational quality
- Strong analytical thinking, research, communication, and critical reasoning skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment
