Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering
- Minimum of 510 years of relevant experience in aerospace systems engineering, with a focus on nacelle design, development, and testing.
- Strong knowledge of nacelle systems, including inlets, fan cowls, thrust reversers, and exhausts.
- In-depth understanding of aviation regulatory requirements (FAA, EASA) and certification processes.
- Proficiency with engineering software such as CATIA, ANSYS, and MATLAB/Simulink.
- Utilize CAD modeling tools (e.g., CATIA) to develop and refine designs.
Responsibilities:
Requirements and Architecture: Define, decompose, and manage system-level requirements for nacelles, including inlets, fan cowls, thrust reversers, and exhausts.
Design and Development:
- Serve as the responsible engineer for nacelle systems, overseeing conceptual and detailed design. Manage the integration of nacelle systems with the engine and aircraft, coordinating with internal teams, external partners, and suppliers.
- Ensure configuration management is maintained throughout the product lifecycle.
- Develop and manage the testing and validation plans for nacelle components and systems.
- Interpret and analyze test data to verify system performance and compliance.
- Conduct design trade-off studies to optimize system performance, reliability, and cost.
