The Product Owner Role Is Accountable For
Own and manage the product backlog for ISO 20022 channel migration, ensuring clear prioritisation aligned to regulatory deadlines, risk reduction, and business value.
Lead the migration strategy from legacy message formats to MX, ensuring functional equivalence, data integrity, and interoperability across downstream and upstream systems.
Engage actively with business, operations, compliance, architecture, and external stakeholders to align expectations and resolve dependencies.
Demonstrate strong payments domain knowledge, including clearing, settlement, message flows, and industry market practices.
Challenge and refine requirements by asking the right questions, identifying gaps, and preventing unnecessary complexity or scope creep.
Make informed trade-off decisions on scope, sequencing, and delivery approach to meet programme timelines.
